The  "Curved Line Magazine" project was developed for a fictitious design magazine.

The custom masthead was developed with the magazine name in mind.  Note the slight curve on the bottom of the word CURVED.  The curved theme is taken even further with the curve contained within the letter E.

I illustrated the front cover artwork in Adobe Illustrator and was inspired by one of the featured articles "One Letter at a Time" which is about a hand-lettering artist.  The three hands in different colours working on the cursive letter O depicts the different times of day/night that the artist works on getting the letter just right.  Hand-lettering is a slow and careful process but beautiful outcomes can be generated. The 3 hands are seen from below through the glass of a drawing device (like an IPad Pro) using a stylus pen.

The colour scheme was initially inspired by a retro theme, making use of pastel colours.

This multi-page magazine lay-out was created for a specific audience and repeating elements and colour palette was used.  A digital  and print version was designed.
